Between April 22 and June 11, 2016, the 10th Wine Route Festival will be celebrated in 16 communities in the vicinity of Bozen / Bolzano and along the South Tyrolean Wine Route. This festival centers on wine – a topic very close to the hearts of all of the inhabitants in the south of South Tyrol. Wine dominates the landscape along the Wine Route, the architecture, and the cuisine.
The program includes elegant wine-tastings in historical buildings, hikes, and culinary tours through wine gardens, wine seminars, wine parties, and concerts in the romantic setting of ancient wine villages. The delicious wines are always accompanied by the tasty regional cuisine of the south of South Tyrol. The culmination and grand finale of the festival is the “Night of the Wine Cellars” on June 11, 2016. On that night, numerous wineries along the historic Wine Route celebrate “open door” events, where you can visit their treasure troves and sample their wares. An exciting night in the historical wine cellars with excellent South Tyrolean wines and interesting conversations. For convenient transportation, a special shuttle service will be set up to speed you connoisseurs from cellar to cellar and then back home again.
